Potato wedges |
Potato wedges are wedges of potatoes,
often large and unpeeled, that are either baked or fried.
These are a little bit different from the usual
French fries.
Potato Wedges are usually seasoned with a variety of spices,
commonly Red chili flakes and Salt.
Potato Wedges are usually served with
Tomato sauce, mayonnaise, or any other sauce of your choice.
But it suits best
with Cajun mayonnaise sauce [Recipe
coming Soon…..J ]
Ingredients:
- Potato - 2 Big
- Corn flour - 1 ½ tbsp
- Chili flakes - 1 tbsp
- Chili Powder - 1/2 tbsp
- Dry Mix herbs- ½ tbsp
- Salt
- Water
- Oil for deep-frying
Steps:
First prepare potatoes for Potato wedges:
1. Cut potatoes in slices as shown in the above image.
2. Take a pan to boil the potatoes.
3. Add water and a 1/2 tbsp of salt to the pan.
4. Heat the water. Once, water starts boiling add potato slices to it.
5. Boil this potato slices for 10 minutes.
6. Switch off the flame and drain out all the water.
How to make batter:
1. Take a bowl. Add Cornflour and Rice flour to it.
2. Add Chili flakes, Chili Powder, Dry Herbs to the cornflour.
3. Add Water to the above mixture and whisk this batter properly. Make sure that no lumps are there in the batter.
4. Add some salt to batter according to taste.
5. Add these slices to prepared batter.
How to Fry the Potato Wedges:
1. Heat oil in the pan for deep-frying potato wedges.
2. Once oil is medium hot, add the batter coated potato slices in it. [Tip: Don’t add all the slices in one batch. Fry them in batches.]

3. Fry the potato wedges on low to medium flame.
4. Fry the potato wedges till it gets golden.
5. Once the potato wedges turn golden from all sides, remove them from the pan and keep it on the paper towel for some time. Paper towels will soak all the access oil from the potato wedges.

Delicious restaurant style potato wedges are now ready to serve.
Serve the potato wedges with tomato ketchup.
